Things to do at Lake Skadar

Lake Skadar is the largest lake in the Balkans, split between Montenegro and Albania, and protected as a national park mainly for its birdlife: roughly 280 species, including one of Europe's few breeding colonies of Dalmatian pelicans. Water lilies cover parts of the surface typically in June and July, thinning out by August.

5 to 2 hours on the water, priced from around 15 to 25 EUR per person depending on operator and group size. From Kotor it is about 1 hour 15 minutes by road via Cetinje. Treat the lake as one destination for planning purposes; several access villages each have their own detailed page and are worth checking before booking a boat.
