Things to do on the Luštica Peninsula

Luštica separates the Bay of Kotor from the open Adriatic, reached via a panoramic road to Rose that was only finished in the last decade. The peninsula's main draw is Luštica Bay, a marina and resort development still under construction, with more cranes than finished streets in places.

Away from the building sites, coves like Žanjic and Mirišta stay quiet even in August, with no sunbeds to book and no entry fee. There is no regular public transport out here: no bus line reaches Rose or the southern coves, so you need a hired car or scooter, unlike Tivat town, which has bus links into Kotor.

Budget around 25 to 35 EUR a day for a scooter in season. The drive from Kotor via Tivat to Rose takes roughly 40 to 50 minutes.
